  • ♥All-Veggie Pasta♥

    olj

For all the veggies out there: ♥gone are the days when we have to take all the ground meat out of our spaghetti before we could finally chow it down out of existence, for here comes an all-veggie spaghetti-treat. I don’t know what its called- my mum saw this recipe on a magazine and sort of tweaked it up a bit. I won’t put the exact measurements for I am not sure of it either and it really depends on your taste. Warning, though, your name might be erased from your memory after eating this dish; I tell you, it is that good. Now don’t tell me I didn’t warn you, heh. firstly, you’d need a saucepan alright, Put a little oil, and sauté onion or garlic- or both, though I prefer you put neither- I read in a book the acidic effects of onions. If the sulfuric acid could make your eyes tear while chopping them, imagine what harm it could do when it is actually inside your system. In its natural state, the body is slightly alkaline. If too much acidic food is eaten, and the body/blood become acidic instead of alkaline, then the blood-purifying organs become overworked, ultimately weakened and susceptible to disease . So the less acidic foods we eat, the better. Now back to the kitchen.. You now mix in the eggplants, alright, and the bell pepper , red or green-whatever, it tastes the same, and pour forth the tomato sauce , and we have to add this stem, I don’t know what its called in English, but in Filipino, it is called kintsay; (I would hazard a guess it is a part of the celery family), and season with some salt and pepper and basil or whatever herbs you’ve got on your cupboard and just simmer and you will know if it is cooked . Hey, it just came to me that if you added olives, that would be brilliant as well. Just pour that sauce over a plateful of pasta, don’t forget to give yourself a nice pat on the back for a job excellently done and tada, you are lookin at your dinner. I have never cooked this alone, though, I don’t know, they think I am not to be trusted when it comes to the kitchen, what they make me do most of the time is chop all the veggies. You could just imagine what an incredibly boring chore that is for me, preparing all the ingredients and never having to cook anything. Oh well, just let me know if you have tried it and if it was goood

  • Memory - A Narrative Poem

Here is a piece of paper, unstained, cold and crisp. I tore it in half, in fourths, gripped it grudgingly in my fist and put it in my mouth. I chewed it. It tasted of dreams and sunsets of long ago. Also of revenge, of ink and of the tears I bled when the werewolf's fangs plunged deep into my flesh. I taste the chilly nights I spent on the alleys unfamished, only to be waken by the phantoms who stole my sight. I taste them, their spite, the petals of corruption, the wrinkles of their greed. I could taste the man who spoke truths in old whispers, and the woman who cursed at romance's feet. I could taste the anthem of the souls who screech for justice. I could taste the chemicals that the scientists injected into the whimpering guniea pig. I could taste the end of the world.

Here is a piece of paper. Chew it well.
